Sony Grewal enters his first season as head coach of the U18 Valley West Giants and his third season in the BCEHL. Grewal served as an assistant and defence coach with the Giants during the 2025-26 season after holding the same role with the U17 Fraser Valley Thunderbirds in 2024-25. His minor hockey experience also includes head coaching roles with Cloverdale Minor Hockey Association and two seasons as an assistant coach with Langley Minor Hockey Association’s U15 A1 team.

Grewal has been involved with BC Hockey’s Program of Excellence for three years and was selected for the Hockey Canada Certified Skills Program in June 2026. The Surrey, B.C., native played his junior hockey for the Seattle Totems and El Paso Rhinos of the Western States Hockey League. He owns Puck Pros Hockey, where he leads player development and high-performance training, and is also a Red Seal electrician.

Alex Lucchesi enters his first season as head coach of the U17 Valley West Giants and his second season in the BCEHL. Lucchesi has been involved in minor hockey for 20 years and spent the 2025-26 season as an assistant coach with the U17 Giants. He previously served two seasons as an assistant coach with North Delta Minor Hockey Association’s U18 A1 team and one season as an assistant coach with Team BC’s U17 ball hockey team.

The North Delta, B.C., native played three seasons of junior hockey with the Delta Ice Hawks and helped the club win a Stonehouse Cup as Pacific Junior Hockey League champions. He has also represented Team Italy in men’s ball hockey and played for Team BC. Lucchesi is a certified ice facility operator and works in ice facility maintenance.

Hunor Torzsok begins his first season as head coach of the U15 Valley West Giants. During the 2025-26 season, he served as the head coach of the U17 Greater Vancouver Canadians.

The Cloverdale, B.C. native played one season with the Valley West Hawks during the 2017-18 season before advancing to the Western Hockey League, where he played for four seasons split between the Vancouver Giants (2016-2019) and the Everett Silvertips (2019-20). Torzsok concluded his playing career with Simon Fraser University of the British Columbia Intercollegiate Hockey League during the 2021-22 season.

Torzsok earned his Red Seal Certification from the British Columbia Institute of Technology and currently works full-time as an electrician.
